1. Who controls your data
DC Bet Entertainment Ltd is the data controller for personal information collected through this site. You can reach our Data Protection Officer at dpo@dcbet.co.uk.
2. What we collect
Identity data (name, date of birth), contact data (email and, if you choose to add them, a phone number and town), account data (loyalty points, tier, favourites, play history, display name) and usage data (pages viewed, games opened, device and browser, IP address).
We collect no financial data of any kind, because there is nothing to pay for. There is no card field, no bank detail field and no identity document upload anywhere on this site.
3. Where it is stored
Your account, password hash, points, favourites and play history are written to localStorage in your own browser and stay on that device. They are not transmitted to us. Clearing your browser data deletes them permanently and we have no copy to restore.
4. Why we use it
To operate your account (contract), to confirm you are over 18 (legal obligation), to detect abuse and protect the platform (legitimate interests), and to send emails about releases, challenges and board results where you have opted in (consent).
5. Who we share it with
Our game supplier Play’n GO, whose client loads inside the page, and IT suppliers who host and secure the site. Law enforcement where legally required. We never sell personal data and we run no advertising profiling.
6. International transfers
Where a supplier operates outside the UK or EEA, transfers are protected by UK International Data Transfer Agreements or adequacy regulations.
7. How long we keep it
Because account data lives in your browser, you control its lifetime: clear the site data and it is gone. Server side logs are retained for twelve months. Marketing preferences are kept until you withdraw consent. Records of an account closed at the holder’s request are not retained.
8. Your rights
You can request access to your data, correction of inaccuracies, erasure where no legal obligation requires retention, restriction of processing, portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Email dpo@dcbet.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
9. Marketing
Withdraw consent at any time from your account settings or the unsubscribe link in any email. Service messages about your account or safer play are sent regardless of marketing preferences.
10. Security
Data is encrypted in transit with TLS 1.3 and at rest. Access is limited to staff who need it, logged, and reviewed quarterly. We test the platform against the OWASP top ten at least annually.
11. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, though we would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
